All funding through the Rupertsland Institute is limited and not guaranteed. Funding applications can close without notice, dependent on budget availability. - Who can apply for Métis Training to Employment funding?
- Students who have been accepted or are enrolling in a diploma or other short-term training program
- Students who are currently enrolled in a diploma or other short-term training program
- Mature students who have been accepted and are entering a diploma or other short-term training program
- Eligible clients who require support to purchase work equipment or other employment related supports
- What documents do I need to apply for Métis Training to Employment funding?
- Proof of Métis Nation of Alberta citizenship
- Proof of Alberta Residency
- Valid Identification Documentation
- Successful completion of all forms provided from Rupertsland Institute
- When can I expect funding to open for the Métis Training to Employment program?
Applications for the Métis Training to Employment program are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please visit the application website or call a Rupertsland Institute employment centre for more information. - What funded supports are available under the Métis Training to Employment program?
Training funding for clients is approved on a case-by-case basis based on actual expenses. Clients are eligible for:- Certificate Support for tuition and fees up to $9,000 for a program 52 weeks in length or less.
- Income Support as per RLI’s Income Support Grid if the program exceeds seven (7) days in length.
- Diploma Support for tuition and fees up to $9,000 per year for programs up to three (3) years in length.
- Income Support for the final two semesters of the program as per RLI’s Income Support Grid.
- Certificate Support for tuition and fees up to $9,000 for a program 52 weeks in length or less.
