RLI Congratulates the 2022 Esquao Awards Recipients
Rupertsland Institute (RLI) congratulates all of the 2022 Esquao Awards recipients, including RLI’s Board of Governor, Dr. Florence Glanfield. The Esquao Awards are the largest gathering to honour Aboriginal Women in Canada. It is unique because the community nominates the women, and the Institute for the Advancement of Aboriginal Women (IAAW) coordinates the ceremony to honour them.
Founding RLI CEO Lorne Gladu to receive an honorary degree from the U of A
Former Rupertsland Institute (RLI) CEO Lorne Gladu will receive one of the University of Alberta’s highest honours, an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree on June 14, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. As RLI’s founding CEO, Gladu’s stewardship of RLI’s triple mandate of education, training, and research has empowered many Métis citizens through innovative programs and services during his 25 years at the helm of RLI and its predecessor Métis Nation of Alberta Métis Labour Market Program.
Welcome Maureen Moneta, Senior Executive Officer
We are very pleased to announce the newest addition to our team at Rupertsland Institute. Effective January 31, 2022, Maureen Moneta joined the Executive Team Services as the Senior Executive Officer. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and achieving the Chartered Accounting designation (now CPA) at Kingston Ross Pasnak Chartered Accounting firm, Maureen focused her career on the non-profit sector.
